Golden Oldies Night – 3rd Anniversary
Last night we held our monthly evening for senior citizens and celebrated the 3rd anniversary of these events and our church hall was full! In December of 2006 we started holding a monthly dinner for senior citizens in Kaharlyk as a way to show them God’s love and invest in our community by doing something special for a demographic that is much overlooked in our city.

Through this ministry quite a few seniors have started coming regularly to our church and one Babushka repented and was baptized this summer. We’ve gotten to know quite of few of the senior citizens in our neighborhood as well as grown as a church in learning how to serve our community.
Apart from seeing (and hugging) each precious senior that comes, I get great enjoyment out of watching our team serve them. I believe that in time this strategic ministry will include activities and will touch hundreds of people … and not just the elderly but their families and friends too.

Thanks for update of work The Lord has trusted you with, Lowell Day my cosuin is here from Austrailia, One of the first things he asked if you was still on mission field, As you know so many has left
most from Russia, As things are getting just about impossible to do any mission work there, I am not sure if he realizes Ukraine is a seprate nation , having not many ties with Russia.
I guess the Porters leaving was a shock to all of us, But they didn’t have much to say about it. The Russian Goverment refused thier stay. I do know how much you follow news, But 3 R-Priests were shot dead
in Moscow and many more around county. The M-group is really targoted them.
We do some work with Slavic Gospel Missions, And they are having much problems just to keep in country. I am glad to see your work , and your decatation to the Lord’s will/work.
I still remenber the goods times in 04 at Kaharyk, And of Ben & Daniel, Are they still there ? And of Yuri and family as well.
