A taste of home!

Yep. I gotta admit that the two bottles of Buderim Ginger Refresher went down great.  Each 750ml of concentrate made a good 4 or 5 litres of ginger beer when mixed with local soda water.  It was almost like being back in Oz. After more than 16 years in Ukraine, there aren’t too many things [...]

Mark & Matthew’s first camp

It was Mark & Matthew’s first camp. So, Olya was a little anxious at first.  But when they reported, “We don’t want to come home!” We started praying for the camp staff! The 10-day kids’ camp in Zvenihorodka is a combined effort with another Ukrainian church. It  was a very special event for both volunteers [...]

Would God buy this man a new boat motor?

This is Jono – Tabir 120′s big BOSS man (camp director). His outboard motor is dead – although it keeps getting temporarily resurrected! God has been faithful in making each camp a success both organizationally and in bearing spiritual fruit. But for the past few years my first thought about the camp is… “Would someone [...]

Island summer camp “Tabir 120″

Tabir 120 started out five years ago as a camp for the 16-25 year-olds.  It has evolved to include families that plan this as their family beach vacation.  Sun, sand, fellowship, relaxation and worship. Really special.  Spontaneous worship in three languages I don’t go (although Olya and the boys got to go for a day [...]

I saw my unborn son!

This week an amazing thing happened. I got to see to face of my as yet unborn son!  Technology is amazing! He is very active and had the hiccups during the scan. In the photo you can see his face quite clearly. Olya is doing well at 33 weeks.  Please keep her and the baby [...]

Combined Training for young Leaders

Our church has lots of experience in children’s minsitry.   The church in Zvenihorodka that we are teaming up with for a combined children’s camp has a good group of youth.  So, in preparation for the 10-day camp, we brought both youth groups together for a team training session. It was really cool.  Various topics were [...]

New Truck!

Thanks to a big donation we now have our own truck!  It’s a 2000 model MAN 5 tonne truck and is a real answer to prayer. It runs smoothly and now is fuelled by our B100 biodiesel. Having our own vehicle is a strategic step forward toward making our operation run smoothly and efficiently.  Up [...]

Preparation for Interfellowship children’s camp:

From Micah Claycamp our youth pastor:  “Our Youth group planned a trip to visit our friends in Zvenihorodka 3 hrs away. The church purchased a rundown dormitory from a closed sugar factory a while back. Their desire is to have kids camps in it and use it for the glory of God. The building is [...]

Team Arizona

In July, our church hosted Pastor Chris Ward and his 10-man team from Arizona.  The two week trip was action packed.  The team did a fantastic job cleaning up at the church as well as ministering to some old folk.  They also really clicked with our with our youth group and lasting relationships were built. [...]
